Currently, I have two fully public blogs. One is focused on knitting and the other is about a video game I play. It's probably obvious why I keep those blogs separately and I'm sure that both audiences (what little there are) appreciate it!
I also have three more private blogs. One is primarily an online knitting notebook. The notes that I took while knitting the BSJ were originally recorded there and later posted to this blog. I keep them separate because I don't want this blog to become cluttered and unorganized with notes about wips. Another blog is a private version of the public video game blog. I find that there are certain things I cannot say in a public blog that simply need to be said. That is the reason that blog exists. And the last private blog is my personal journal. I write about everything save the video game in that blog.
Honestly, it is a lot of work to maintain all those blogs. Many times I will end up neglecting a few for weeks at a time while I work on the others. I also wonder why I bother sometimes. Is it really necessary to fragment my thoughts into so many different places?
There are no good answers. I am glad that I have all those different blogs, even if I don't update any of them frequently as a consequence. At times though, I wish I did have fewer blogs, just so I could update one of them more frequently. For example, I'm toying with the idea of unlocking my private journal blog so it is more accessible. Or, I could try broadening the material in this blog to make it more personable. Or I could maintain the status quo!
Honestly, I'm not sure what to do. I would like to be more personable and update one of my blogs more frequently. It makes the most sense to choose this blog as the medium, but I'm not sure it's a good idea to get too far away from knitting. My interests are varied and odd; knitting is an accidental hobby.
I'd be interested to hear some thoughts on the subject though. It may help me decide what to do with my flock of blogs.

I think you should unlock your private journal so I can read about how much you swoon over me.
