What happened to October?

I blame socks. No, really.

I learned to knit socks in October. Turns out, socks are really addictive to knit. Consequently, I'm blaming socks for my lack of blogging lately.

Here are some FOs from the last month or so:

I've finished more than a couple pairs of socks and some mittens, but those are the only projects I have photos of for some reason.

The biggest accomplishment of the last month is a project I just finished this evening - my grandmother's afghan. Here are some photos:

This project has been in the works since June or July. It was supposed to be done in September, but anyone that has tried to knit alpaca in the summer can sympathize with the fact that I didn't get it done until the weather turned cool.

It was also supposed to be twice the size, but alpaca is really heavy and really warm. As this is a gift for my grandmother, I decided that she should be able to lift it herself and stopped knitting early.

Overall, I think it turned out quite well. I hope she likes it!

Your afghan is so beautiful! I love how the colors work into the stitch pattern.
